The fizz from sparkling water adds an effervescent twist that takes this fruity beverage to the next level. It is light and refreshing, and the ideal way to stay cool and energised.

Ingredients

  • Fresh grapes – 1 cup (250 grams)
  • Fresh mint leaves – 6-8 leaves
  • Lime juice – 1 tbsp
  • Maple syrup or agave syrup – 1 tbsp (optional)
  • Sparkling water – 1 cup (250 ml)
  • Ice – As needed
  • Lime slices – 2 nos.
  • Grape slices – 2 nos. (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a blender, add the grapes and fresh mint leaves. Blend until smooth.
  • Strain the grape-mint mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any pulp, leaving just the juice.
  • In a tall glass, add ice cubes to your desired level.
  • Pour the grape-mint juice into the glass over the ice.
  • Add the freshly squeezed lime juice and maple syrup (if using) to the glass. Stir to combine.
  • Top the drink with sparkling water and stir gently to mix.
  • Garnish with lime slices, extra mint leaves, and a few grape slices for a pop of colour.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the fizzy, fruity, and refreshing Grape Mint Refresher!

Healthy Tips & Facts

  • You can use frozen grapes instead of ice for a thicker, slushier drink.
  • For a more intense mint flavour, muddle the mint leaves in the glass before adding the ice.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness with more or less maple syrup or agave syrup to your taste.
  • If you prefer a less sweet version, you can omit the sweetener and let the natural sweetness of the grapes shine.
