The Golden Sesame Shake is a creamy, nutty drink made with tahini (sesame paste) and a touch of sweetness. Its golden name comes from the rich, golden color of tahini, creating a smooth, velvety texture. Inspired by Mediterranean and Middle Eastern traditions, it is a nourishing and satisfying beverage.

Ingredients

  • Tahini – 1 tbsp
  • Dates – 1 no.
  • Unsweetened almond milk – 1cup(250g)
  • Ground cinnamon – ¼ tsp
  • Vanilla extract – ¼ tsp
  • Salt – A pinch
  • Ice cubes – optional 

Instructions

  • If the dates are dry or hard, soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften them.
  •  In a blender, combine 1 tbsp of tahini, 1 date, 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, and a pinch of salt. Add cinnamon and vanilla extract if using.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a cold version, add a few ice cubes before blending.
  • Taste the shake and, if desired, add a touch more date for sweetness. You can also add a little more almond milk if the consistency is too thick.
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy.
